Teach in is working in partnership with a high-performing group of UK school groups to help them recruit new graduates and experienced teachers for full-time teaching roles starting in September 2026, across primary and all secondary subjects. Our Principals have hired Canadian teachers before and understand the high calibre of teachers that train in Canada.  Our schools are motivated to meet and interview teachers in Canada in April 2026. What’s the offer?

If you’re selected to interview with our partnership schools, the offer will be:

  • A full-time teaching position commencing in September 2026. 1-year commitment initially with the option to extend.
  • Pay will be according to the British UK Teacher Pay Scales
  • Support with Visa application, Accommodations, Banking, and National Insurance.
  • Ongoing professional development and support from the trust
  • Invite to an arrival induction event
  • Invitation to our social events and introduction to other successful Canadian applicants

What types of schools will be interviewing?

We have a group of schools based in Hertfordshire, which is located north-west of London. The schools that will be represented and interviewing in Canada for September 2026 long term contracts are outlined below:

Watford Partnership for Teacher Training Schools (WPfTT)

WPfTT is a group of schools that have allied to develop best practice and support, new graduate teachers, overseas teachers and those wanting to engage in initial teacher training. The partnership of local schools, supported by the University of Hertfordshire and Herts for Learning, to develop, train and inspire new teachers via a range of innovative programmes with the ultimate aim of improving outcomes and life chances for young people.

The partnership draws on the skills, knowledge and experience of teachers from a range of different schools, who are passionate about developing the next cohort of outstanding trainees.

There are currently 22 schools, both primary and secondary, involved in the Partnership, and it keeps growing!  These include grammar, faith based, single gender, and special needs schools.

All Saints Catholic Academy Trust (ASCAT)

ASCAT is a group of Catholic Schools in South West Hertfordshire.  Formed in 2016, as part of the Diocese of Westminster’s Academy Strategy,  they provide a collaborative structure of school support and innovation for Catholic schools in South West Hertfordshire. They have 11 schools, both primary and secondary, and are continuing to grow. Schools are located in Watford, St Albans, and Dacorum areas. The trust aims to develop and strengthen partnerships of faith, support, mutual challenge, and innovation as they seek to ensure ‘An Outstanding Catholic Education for All’, as well as professional communities in which all staff are enabled to flourish and to contribute their unique, God-given gifts and talents to their shared mission.

This is a unique opportunity for teachers interested in a career in catholic education.  The ASCAT trust would welcome all Canadian teachers regardless of faith and training.  You do not need to be a catholic or be trained in catholic education to apply to our ASCAT schools.
